RV/TENT SITES I 10 GUESTS
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Pitch your tent just feet from the river! We have four star-gazing sites on the property, and this is one. Kingfisher is located near the bridges and is the only campsite there. Access to river is by a woodsy trail and additional access at the boat ramp about 1/4 mile away. Come enjoy the dark skies and stars, meteors, and fireflies!
Kingfisher gets more sun than our other sites so guests may want to bring their own shade. Each site has a picnic table and gas fire pit and you may rent a 20# on the add-ins tab. Kingfisher is a 6-minute walk from the bath house. Wi-Fi extends to all sites on the campground.
Along with stunning views of Bighorn Sheep Canyon, Twin Bridges Campground is a bird watchers paradise. Migratory birds travel through the campground April-October. Symphonies of bird song rain down on our riverside sites. We have feeders around the sites and some of the birds are very aggressively eating from them. See how many different species you can spot!
Kingfisher’s are small brightly colored birds, their dive speed is 25 mph! They build nests in burrows along earthen banks and feeds almost entirely on aquatic prey. These ragged-crested birds are a powdery blue-gray and males have one blue band across the white breast while females have a blue and a chestnut band.
